Before I realized what this was actually a picture of, it looked like lightbulbs were exploding from the ceiling and raining down. That's the nicest part about this work. It is specific, but it also lends itself to a wide range of interpretation. Yes. It is a specific scene, a specific event, and there is a very specific action taking place. That said, it is still open-ended enough to envoke the viewer's own imagination.

On to the specifics. Obviously capturing something like this in the level of crisp sharpness that you have is impressive on it's own. There is momentum and energy to this piece, at the same time the color pallete and lighting are subdued.

The exact moment at which the falling embers embraced the figure in the foreground, while at the same time falling in columns through the bacground as well, pulls the entire composition together.

Very well done.

:bulletblue: At first I thought this was a PhotoManip. But then looking closely, I realized that all of the lighting and shadows lined-up too realistically to be a manip.

:bulletblue: As the Daily Deviation says, you really timed this perfectly and nailed the aperture settings.

:bulletblue: The lighting and color of the atmosphere really enhances the environment in which this event took place, and compliments the focused subject perfectly. The red-tones are spread throughout the photo.

:bulletblue: The layout and composition are also well done. Focus is aligned just right to keep the subject sharp and crisp, while also still maintaining the clarity of the middle-subject (fireworks).

:bulletblue: One of the best photos I've seen on DA in a long while. Top notch job! :)
